Sr. Maurice Liguori Okoroji is the new principal of Mercy Girls High School, Aleto-Eleme. She is of the congregation of Daughters of Mary Mother of Mercy. She completed her secondary education from Mercy Juniorate Amapu Ntigha in 1988.

Sr. Maurice has a BA in English Education and MA in Educational Administration and Supervision from Caldwell University and a Ph.D. in Higher Education Leadership, Management and Policy from Seton Hall University, New Jersey, USA.

Sr. Maurice taught for 5 years as a grade school teacher in Newark, New Jersey. She has over 15 years of experience as an organizational leader and educational administrator.

She exercises competencies in the development, implementation, and execution of performance-enhancing programs. Additionally, she has outstanding skills in parent communications, conflict resolution, and staff management. She is noted for consistently supporting staff and students as an advocate leader.

Sr. Maurice is committed to ensuring that students receive a holistic, well-rounded, educational experience and in moving MGHS to another level of educational experience.
